888 Holdings
Boasts Excellent Q2 Results
August 5 - 888 Holdings Plc, owner and operator of ultra-popular
Casino-on-Net and
Pacific Poker, has proved once again that it is one of the
world's largest and most successful online gambling operations with the release
of impressive second quarter and first half results.
In its recent financial report, 888 Holdings reported a total operating income
of $69 million for the second quarter, up 36 percent from $51 million during the
same period last year.
The company's net gaming revenues increased 33 percent to
$67 million from $50 million in the prior-year quarter.
The Gibraltar-based company's net gaming revenue from its online casino division
reached $35 million, an increase of almost 27 percent from $28 million a year ago.
888 Holdings net gaming revenue from its online poker division remained pretty much
the same as last year at $20 million.
An area of notable improvement for 888 Holdings, however, was its net gaming revenue
from its 'Emerging Offerings' - mainly online bingo and online sports betting.
Between them, these offerings generated
$12 million, a six-fold increase on the company's last year quarter results.
Plus, by all indications, 888 Holdings third quarter has also
kicked off to a flying start.
For instance, during the first three weeks of July this year,
the company's average daily net gaming revenue was roughly 2
percent higher than in its second quarter.
888 Holdings has attributed
this mainly to its online bingo, online sports betting and increased
online poker net gaming revenue.
