Cloud Death Still Raising Eyebrows

July 14 - While we reported about the death of South African-born online gambling entrepreneur and rand billionaire, Warren Cloud, some weeks ago, the secretive and mysterious manner in which the gambling mogul lived and worked has left many unanswered questions.

For instance, why did the 34-year-old Cloud have so many aliases? In online gambling circles the entrepreneur was often known as 'Don Fortune', 'Oliver Curran' and 'Richard Brooks'. And why did he surround himself with an army of armed bodyguards?

It is hard to so but most likely it had something to do with the way he seemed to conduct his online gambling business, creating plenty of angry players and 'enemies' along the way. Cloud, and his range of online casinos, were often listed on online gambling 'watchdog' sites, with a warning to players to steer clear.

According to many online gambling blogs and players unlucky enough to have had a run in with any of Cloud's online casinos, rarely did the players receive the 'benefit of the doubt' in a dispute or disagreement, and were often left with their winnings unpaid or accounts frozen.

But it wasn't just Cloud's players that took a hit. According to online sources, Cloud was in the habit of not paying his creditors for work rendered. One such example, allegedly involves a leading South African advertising agency that was forced to 'write-off' R200,000 after Cloud refused to pay for their services.

While it is unclear what Cloud hired the ad agency to work on, he was a part-shareholder of leading South African online gambling destination, Silver Sands Casino. Luckily for South Africa's many online gambling fans, Silver Sands Casino is continuing to run unaffected by his death.

Unlike many other online casinos connected with Cloud, Silver Sands Casino has always had a reputation for being fair, secure and reputable, which is why it will undoubtedly weather the death of one of its owners, and continue to attract South African online gambling fans.
