Software Firm Acquires New Platform

21 - Online gambling software powerhouse, Playtech, has acquired
MixTV Ltd, a subsidiary of Win Gaming Media Inc, for $1.75
million, in order to extend its range of online gambling
services to include live interactive gaming applications.
MixTV is a well-established firm that specialises in providing
live multi-player gaming applications on interactive TV shows
that are accessible on the Internet, as well as over digital,
analogue, cable, terrestrial and satellite television networks.

Playtech CEO, Mor Weizer, 'As the leading online
gambling software provider to the online gambling industry, the
acquisition of MixTV's mass multi-player live gaming solutions
will allow us extend our product portfolio, making our products
available on all forms of interactive media.
'This technology will further enriching our range of online
gambling platforms and provide new cross-selling opportunities
for our existing and potential new licensees. We will continue
to realise our vision of enriching our online gambling products
through new best-in-class innovative products,' he said.
As part of the acquisition, Playtech signed a license and
service agreement with Win Gaming, a service provider for key
players in the gaming arena such as UK entertainment and
communications company, Virgin Media Television, and Teletext.
Listed on the London Stock Exchange, Playtech provides turnkey
solution packages for online casinos that include top-end online
gambling software, hosting, customer service and transaction
management.
