Phumelela and Dragonfish Sign Online Betting Deal

Phumelela to launch new online wagering and gambling siteMay 18 - South African horseracing fans will soon be able to back their favourite horses online thanks to a recent deal between Phumelela Gold Enterprises (PGE), South Africa's premier pari-mutuel horse racing and tote betting firm, and Dragonfish, a leading international online gambling solutions provider.

The deal, which was signed last week,
will see Phumelela launch a range of online betting services, followed by online casino and online poker facilities. As part of the agreement, Dragonfish - 888 Holdings' independent B2B division - will provide access to international horseracing pools and live race streaming.

This means that
South African horseracing fans will soon be able to wager on the world's biggest and most important horse races from the comfort and privacy of their homes via Phumelela's soon-to-be launched online betting facilities. Dragonfish will design and integrate the new system using cutting edge technology.

It will provide Phumelela's users with the
world's most current and popular online payment services as well as comprehensive back-end software, which will allow South Africans to sign up quickly and easily, deposit betting funds using a choice of reputable payment methods, and place bets on horse races around the globe.

Said Rian du Plessis, Group CEO, Phumelela Gaming and Leisure Limited, 'We're very happy to sign with a strategic partner that can provide us with market-leading technology to expand our offerings.
Working closely with Dragonfish will help us to diversify our online offering and build on our current success.'

Said Gabi Campos, Managing Director of Dragonfish, 'Horseracing is the largest sector in global sports betting, and we are delighted to work with a market leader such as Phumelela. This deal will ensure that
Phumelela has the best tools to provide its South African user-base with cutting edge online gambling services.'

Phumelela currently sets the fixtures for all South African racecourses and owns and operates Tellytrack, South Africa's highly successful domestic horseracing TV channel which is available on DSTV.
Tellytrack regularly broadcasts live racing from South Africa and abroad, including the UK, Singapore and the U.S.
