Phumelela Gold Enterprises
last week, leading UK-based
online sports betting operation, Betfair, is now offering its over two million registered
customers
access to South African tote pools
as well as live
streamed footage over of the internet of
South African horse
races.
Under the terms of the agreement,
bets laid on South African
horse races via Betfair are channeled into TAB pools
hosted in Joburg on
Phumelela's secure and robust Amtote betting system. Betfair customers
can partake in tote betting in the UK, Ireland, Australia
and now South
Africa.

Phumelela Gold Enterprises (PGE) is a joint venture
between
South African horseracing and tote betting operators
Phumelela
and Gold Circle.
PGE is managed by Phumelela (listed on the
Johannesburg Stock Exchange) and owns all the
local and
international broadcast and information rights to South African
horseracing.
