Tsogo Sun Gaming Brings
in Online Gambling Heavy Hitters
September
30 - The
Tsogo Sun Gaming Group,
a leading South African land casino operator,
has made its first step into the world of online gambling by
signing a deal with
Dragonfish,
the B2B division of leading UK online gambling firm,
888 Holdings Plc,
to
develop a series of online gambling websites.
The deal
will see Dragonfish create a series of branded online gambling
websites
for Tsogo Sun Gaming,
starting with an online
sports
betting site.
And once that has been rolled out, a Tsogo Sun online casino,
online poker room and
possibly even an online bingo casino are expected to follow
in due course.
Said Marcel von Aulock, CFO of Tsogo Sun Group, 'As a dynamic
and innovative leader of gaming in South Africa,
our move into online gambling is a natural progression for the
business.
Dragonfish has a proven pedigree in online gaming technology and
this
partnership will be an excellent platform to expand our gaming
offerings.'
Dragonfish is expected to facilitate games,
payment processing systems, a call center,
a customer relationship management system,
and online marketing and business analytics
on behalf of Tsogo Sun Gaming,
which currently boasts seven land casinos in South Africa that
together
handle over 21 million people each year.
Said Gabi Campos, MD of Dragonfish, 'Tsogo
Sun Gaming's casinos provide a world-class, personalised gaming
experience,
and by partnering with Dragonfish
we can
provide them with the expertise and cutting-edge online gaming
solutions to
convert their brand into a successful position in the online
gambling world.'
Earlier in September,
Dragonfish signed a similar deal with Harrah's Interactive
Entertainment,
the new online gambling arm of Harrah's Entertainment Inc, the
largest land casino group in the United States,
which boasts properties in
Las Vegas,
Atlantic City, Reno, Tahoe, New Orleans,
Biloxi and Tunica.
